Riots and Protest plaque the USA

In the USA, there has been a wave of politics that have shadowed a once peaceful country full of future endeavors now plagued with protest and riots. Looking at a brief history, vape was a target of speech in the media and press, it was as if they had nothing else to do but pick on the little things in society. Now that the government has its hands full with endorsing WHO – the World Health Organization involving with the results of handling the epidemic of COVID-19, it has turned a blind eye yet again to the world of Vape.
Today the government faces even more push as protests and riots now over run major cities across the USA.
The spark of this has actually built up and the cry for activists and communities of color looking to call attention to a number of racial disparities has made media. There are protests in Washington D.C., Minneapolis, Las Vegas, New York, San Fransisco, and Oakland to state the few. A top this the protests were held in the dominating Covid-19 outbreak areas.
The Cause of the protests was fueled and ignited by the death of George Floyd, a black man, who had a knee of a police officer pressed against his neck, cutting off his air supply, and dying on the road in under 10 minutes. The whole reason he had been put in handcuffs and in custody in the first place was for using counterfeit money. With his last breaths of air, you can hear him pleading to the officer that he could not breath, silence, and a limp body was presented on the video footage. Onlookers from the video footage cried out to the officers to let him go, he could not breathe, and that he was lifeless. Excessive force was the only punishment for these officers and being let go from their jobs.
The unrest has coincided with, “ the very worst days of the pandemic so far” in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, said Michael Osterhom, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota. Experts point out that other factors associated with protests could accelerate the spread of the virus. For instance, tear gas can cause people to Cough and Sneeze, as can the smoke from fires set by people bent on destruction. All this allows for people to have a reason to remove there masks as well.
As a community in the Vape industry we must also voice what we believe in. Our right to vape is being taken away from us and we have to say something about our rights to Vape! I hope you can leave comments below on your active thought on the Protests and Vape!
